Helping others around the world...
For the past 5 years the New Frontiers Team has raised over £5000 for charities around the world such as SOS Children ? to assist children with AIDS in Africa, the Tsunami appeal, Rehab UK, FSID, Breast Cancer, Cancer Research, The British Heart Foundation, Childline, NSPCC, Children with Leukemia, Motor Neuron Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Christian Aid, FSD, Multiple Sclerosis Trust, Barnardos, UNICEF, Save the Children and many more.
Every quarter the New Frontiers Team nominates a charitable organization for personnel reasons as a worthy cause.
March 2006 - Helping millions of poor children around the world Our donation to UNICEF of £161.50 will help towards providing improved health, nutrition, water, sanitation and education to some of the poorest countries around the world. Additionally, UNICEF also helps children in need of special protection, like the victims of child labour, landmines and those exposed to the ravages of war.
October 2005 - Staff donate £160.00 to victims of serious brain injuries Rehab helps people who have suffered & are recovering from serious brain injuries. A mixture of rehabilitation, training and community care programmes are offered, designed to assist individuals to realise their full potential and just as importantly, to provide support to enable people who have acquired brain injuries to maintain their achievements.
August 2005 - Rantzen?s heartfeld plea has profound affect on staff Ester Rantzen's recent heartfelt plea for immediate funding for the charity Childline had a profound effect on the New Frontiers Travel Recruitment Team so much so that they made an immediate contribution of £339.36.
January 2005 - New Frontiers help a family devastated by Tsunami New Frontiers staff rallied around and gave very generously on 'dress down Friday' to raise £239.80 for a family devastated by the Tsunami disaster. Tony and Zoe had each travelled around Thailand and both (coincidentally) had got to know a local lady on Phi Phi Island, who ran a bar there. Susan has lost all 20 of her staff and a niece and nephew as well as her Business and livelihood. Her family has been relocated to another local island. Wonderful donations are being put forward to many important charities but the staff at New Frontiers decided to support this one family in desperate need.
April 2004 - FSID - Giving babies the chance of a lifetime A donation of £92.40 was contributed to this charity, which since 1991 have helped reduced cases of sudden infant death by 70%, and continue to be of direct & tangible benefit to all 1900 babies born each day throughout the UK.
September 2003 - NF Director cycles in London to Cambridge Bike Ride Jim Morrissey, Financial Director once again successfully completed the London to Cambridge raising £142.00 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Around 3500 riders took part in the event raising £215.000 for this vital research.
Summer 2003 - Staff participate in the London 'Moon Walk' raising £700 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer After months of preparation, two members of the New Frontiers sales team participated in this now annual 'Moon Walk'. Both confirmed, it was the most amazing experience & thoroughly enjoyed joining thousands of other women through the streets of London on this nightly walk. It is the only power walking marathon in the world and certainly the only event that we know of that starts at midnight with thousands of dynamic women and men wearing bras! An incredible £700 was raised which works around £100 per hour!
August 2001 - New Frontiers donation enables 10 children suffering with Leukemia to attend annual Christmas Party In the months of August and September, we donated £100.00 to 'Children with Leukemia'. The donation enabled 10 deserving children to attend the 14th amazing children?s party, in which the children had a truly enjoyable & exciting day..
June 2001 - A special donation to the Melbourne Ward Trust Fund In June 2001 we donated £100 to Chase Farm Hospital Melbourne Ward Trust Fund. We chose this organization because one of our employee?s fathers had major surgery in 1999 and we wanted to show our appreciation for all efforts.
February 2001 - Pro-longing the life of Terence Jones who suffers from Motorneuron disease The NF team raised £414 the TNJ appeal to help pro-long the life of Terence Jones, 23, who is suffering from Motorneuron disease - a terminal paralysing disease. New Frontiers raised money by having a 'dress down Friday' and their temps raised money when a raffle was held at the Temps Xmas party in a bar in Oxford St. "We are very grateful for all the support New Frontiers have given us. Terence has only been recently diagnosed with the disease and we are keen to slow down the progression of his condition as much as possible. The money raised will go towards treatment in America for Terence." said Helga Jones - Terence's mother. "Helga has looked after my son Jonathan since he was a baby. He's now six. I wanted to help the Jones family with this personal tragedy in any way I could. I'd like to personally thank all my staff and our temps for all their support and generosity." said Julia Feuell, Managing Director.
2000 - Helping Samantha who has Cerebral Palsy Between Jan - Feb we raised money to sponsor Samantha's father, Gary to run in the London Marathon. We donated £50.00, and this has gone towards Samantha's Conductive Education (type of physiotherapy) which takes place in Budapest, Hungary. This treatment enables children to reach there full potential, as in Samantha's case she was unable to sit up unaided, she could not grip properly, she had no sense of balance, she could not feed herself and she could not play with toys. Since Samantha first started the Conductive Education in 1996, her life has turned around; she can do all these things now.
Help New Frontiers save a moon bear!
We need to raise £5000 to release a moon bear to a special sanctuary from its prison, as these bears are kept in cages with a catheter in their gall bladder to extract bile for Chinese medicines. The government thought bear farms would be better than bears being killed, but now they?ve synthetically made moon bear bile, they?re supporting the closure of the farms.
