The Product department is responsible for identifying the most suitable product for the company’s tours, flights, packages as well as appropriate locations. They often work closely with the contracting teams ensuring the very best packages are created for the customers.
They put together the key components to create the package or tour by selecting the overseas destinations, suppliers, hotels and negotiating contracts with airlines to match the clients’ specifications exactly. They also handle all copy and content for the brochures and website, including pricing and ensuring all relevant product information is supplied to the Revenue Management team so they are able to increase margins.
To work in the sector you will have previous travel product experience. You must be able to communicate with all suppliers including hoteliers, airlines and so on.
The Commercial team works directly with the product department monitoring and analysing the effectiveness of all new products and campaigns, ensuring these are profitable to the business. This department also handles bed stock and flight capacity pricing.
To work in the sector you will have previous travel commercial experience. Familiarity with the “Product” sector is also beneficial.
