Travel Agency Manager

My client, an independent retail agency specialising in luxury tailor-made tours, is seeking a new branch manager to oversee the general operation of the branch. You must be from a retail travel background, or tour-operator, and a strong knowledge of both European and long-haul destinations in order to make recommendations to their customers and tailor itineraries to suit their needs.

As a Travel Agency Manager you will undertake an array of tasks and responsibilities:

* Reporting to the Director
* Directing the Assistant Manager and Travel Advisors
* Maximising the branch sales and profits
* Maintaining and enhancing operational standards
* Maintain unrivalled Customer Service through independent and unbiased advice
* Coaching and developing staff
* Set daily sales targets for all persons within the branch and ensure that they are being met
* Ensure point of sale is accurate, presentable and up-to-date
* To ensure the delivery of effective Team Briefings
* Ensuring the accuracy of training record

Branch tasks:
* Booking package and tailor-made holidays, flights and cruises
* To up-sell wherever possible to maximise revenue
* Suggesting itineraries using your extensive destination knowledge
* Offering the best service at all times
* Dealing with customer enquiries face to face and over the telephone
* Administration tasks � producing reports, statements, wage details, etc
* Maintaining brochure displays

Travel Agency Manager remuneration package:

* Excellent consolidated basic salary up to £25,000c (negotiable)

Travel Agency Manager skill attributes:
