Sales and Marketing Consultant

My client, a specialist niche tour operator specialising in Africa and the Mediterranean requires an experienced Sales and Marketing Consultant.

Sales and Marketing Consultants Responsibilities:

* Selling the product range to both the general public and travel agents via the telephone.
* Handling e-commerce enquiries.
* Ensuring that requests for holiday reservations are handled effectively and efficiently.
* Visiting travel agents country wide to promote the company
* Attend workshops.
* During quiet times the role may be slightly more varied and you will learn how to load specials on the website / assist with promotions / general office administration.

Sales and Marketing Consultant Skills required:

* At least 2 years sales experience
* Proven experience in selling Southern / Eastern Africa and the Mediterranean
* A strong customer service orientated background and experience.
* Good confident verbal communication skills and patience in dealing with clients.
* Experience of working with Microsoft office applications including formulas in excel.
* Ability to quickly learn bespoke in house computer system.
* Comfortable in working as part of a small busy and sometimes pressurised reservations department.
* Have experience of working in a team and being a supportive team player.
* Confident in using own initiative

Sales and Marketing Consultant remuneration and benefits

* £18,000
* Monday to Friday
* 20 days holiday
