Jobs within this sector are purely based on face-to-face communication. It involves selling package holidays including flights, car hire, hotels, and coach and rail travel as well as tailor-made holidays to the general public. You need to be an enthusiastic individual with great persuasion skills to ensure you can close a sale along with ensuring your customer is fully satisfied, as you will have sales target to achieve and meet, which will result in commission being added to you salary. Travel companies also generally require experienced travel professionals with proven sales experience along with strong geographical knowledge. CRS is not always essential but is preferred.
Salaries range from £14 - £23k
