A strong Sales & Business Development team is essential for the growth, development and successful of any travel organisation. There are numerous Sales & Business Development roles within this sector, so you could work for an airline, tour operator, business travel, car hire company, cruise company or within a hotel chain just to name but a few.
Business Development identifies new business opportunities and targets new sales leads.
Account Manager, Key Account Manager or Sales Manager – ensure the account is maintained and sales are maximised and targets met.
Field Sales Executive - predominately ‘on the road’ promoting and selling the company’s’ products to key decision makers within targeted organisations.
To work in this sector you need to have an excellent proven sales background where you have achieved and exceeded set targets. You will be a strong negotiator, have outstanding presentation skills and be able to maximise, build and maintain relationships. Strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality are essential.
