This highly regarded and well known travel insurance intermediary is searching for an Underwriting & Product Development Manager to join their busy team. Based in the Essex offices this is a key role within the organisation which focuses on both existing and new product development to drive revenue.

As an Underwriting & Product Development Manager you will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:

•Manage product propositions ensuring they are fit for purpose, competitive and achieve coverage
•To work within the delegated underwriting authority to maximise new business acquisition growth
•Proactively participate in, support and achieve the agreed results for new product launches
•Work closely with insurer partners to drive improved performance
•Be responsible for management of external aggregator and agency agreements including pricing and sales
•Analyse competitor information and recommend product pricing changes
•Work closely with insurer partners to drive improved performance
•Successfully contribute to the Business strategy development
•Analyses and understands sales performance across brands, ensuring product strategies maximise sales and retention
•Ensures clear communication of key business objectives across the business
•Develop and monitor of strategy for all product lines and services
•Builds relationships with other teams both internally and across the wider group to achieve maximum cooperation to achieve common objective
•Makes effective verbal presentation to fit audience to individuals and/or groups
•Builds trust as key aspect of influential relationships
•Manages project plans to ensure timely delivery of outcomes

Underwriting & Product Development Manager Skill attributes:

•Understanding in product development required
•Good knowledge of systems, online and offline with strong Excel experience
•Experience with FSA compliance regulations relating to Travel Insurance desirable
•Ability to negotiate legal and contractual requirements and terms
•You will be highly organized and analytical
•Excellent communicator
•Proactive team player
•Self motivated, uses initiative and problem solver
•Work to tight deadlines with a can do attitude
